Steam method of cooking is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for our dim sum, it is probably the only way to bring out the best taste of dim sum. Steam method can also be used to reheat our frozen meals.
If you have a digital steamer at home, simply place 8 pieces of frozen dim sum into a heat proof dish, line it with parchment paper or a leafy vegetable (i.e. lettuce) to yield the best result;
Follow your digital steamer instruction to add water and steam for 10 minutes.
Stainless Steel Steamer
Simply put a few inches of water in the bottom of the steamer, and set up one to three tiers steamer on top. place 8 pieces of frozen dim sum into a heat proof dish, line it with parchment paper or a leafy vegetable (i.e. lettuce) to yield the best result; and steam for 10 minutes.
Similar as stainless steel steamer, just keep an eye on it, add water as needed to prevent water evaporates, but don't overfill the water or it will touch the bottom of the inside bed of steamer and of course your dim sum.
Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave oven.
